Dr. Courtney Medlen grew up in Alabama and was very passionate about sports from a young age. She played basketball, tennis, and golf competitively, which led her to pursue an active career as a physical therapist. She attended the University of Alabama and earned her bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. Following undergraduate school, she achieved her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from one of the top schools in the country, the University of Southern California. She was also accepted into their residency program to further specialize in orthopedics and become an expert in the field.
As a physical therapist, she has experience working with people from all walks of life and considers EVERYONE an athlete. She has worked extensively with athletes wanting to return to high level competition and has a strong passion for those specifically rehabbing from ACL reconstruction or other lower extremity injuries/surgeries. Her goal is to help people optimize performance, and ultimately, become the best version of themselves.
When she’s not working, Courtney enjoys traveling to any and all places, watching sports, finding new restaurants, working in her yard, and playing with her amazing Goldendoodle, Nala.
