๐Ÿ’ฅ Once a patientโ€™s weight bearing restrictions are lifted, I like to really focus on even weight distribution through the foot with standing, if not putting a little more emphasis on distributing weight towards the toes in order to activate the calf to a greater degree and break the habit of the patient keeping their weight posteriorly within their base of support.


๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿผ If not coached correctly, when peforming balance tasks or the standing marching task, the patient will keep almost all of their weight in the heelโ€” this will continue to lead to gait abnormalities and eventually heel pain


๐Ÿ’ฃ I know I preach this a lot, but no exercise is too small to be coached well. FORM IS ๐Ÿ”‘. An exercise can be performed several different ways to achieve several different outcomes!!
